Puppy & Pricing

Puppy Pricing & What’s Included

One of the most common questions I receive is:

"What do you charge for your puppies, and what does that cost include?"

Our puppies range from $600 USD to $1000 USD, and that price reflects far more than just the pup itself. You're not only bringing home an adorable, well-bred Dachshund puppies—you’re also receiving the result of years of dedication, investment, and careful planning to ensure your puppy is healthy, well-socialized, and set up for a happy life with your family.

What You’re Really Paying For

The moment you take home your puppy, you’re receiving:

  • A healthy, stable, and socialized puppy
  • Our full support, care, and input
  • A pup that’s been raised with children and other pets in a loving home
  • A lifetime of love and effort we’ve invested in our breeding program
  • Behind the scenes, here’s what goes into every puppy we raise:

    Health & Genetic Testing

The moment you take home your puppy, you’re receiving: We go above and beyond to ensure each of our breeding dogs is extensively tested, including:

  • DNA Testing for PRA1, PRA2, prcd-PRA, DM, NCL, and Ichthyosis
  • OFA & PennHIP certifications for hips and elbows
  • Heart exams by a board-certified cardiologist
  • Eye exams by a veterinary ophthalmologist
  • Full genetic screening to prevent hereditary health issues
  • Quality Breeding Dogs

We invest in top-quality breeding dogs, often spending upwards of $7,000 for just one. These dogs come from some of the best lines available and must pass rigorous health and temperament tests. If a dog doesn’t meet our high standards, we retire them and start again—often setting our program back over a year.

    Ongoing Health Care & Nutrition

    Our dogs and puppies receive:

  • Premium nutrition ($55+ per bag of food)
  • Daily vitamins and immune support
  • Joint supplements
  • Routine deworming, vaccinations, microchipping, and full vet exams
  • Emergency care if needed (including C-sections and neonatal support)
  • Environment & Socialization

  • Raised in a loving home environment, not a kennel
  • Socialized with children, other dog breeds, and cats
  • Provided with quality toys, bedding, crates, and safe spaces
  • Kept in temperature-controlled areas with proper hygiene and comfort
  • Long-Term Commitment

We don’t breed just to produce puppies—we breed to improve the Golden Retriever breed with every litter. That means constant research, line management, and years of work before a single puppy is ever born.

    Final Thoughts

Contrary to popular belief, responsible breeding is not a profitable venture. We don’t base our pricing on how much we spend per puppy—but rather on the cost of maintaining a healthy, ethical, and sustainable breeding program.

We are proud to offer you a puppy who is not only adorable and affectionate, but also comes from a foundation of health, stability, and love.
